The City of Campbell River is looking to help food truck vendors establish a presence ahead of the summer season.
Between June 1 and June 30, the City is waiving the $35 daily operating fee for one week for approved food truck vendors operating at one of the City’s designated public food-truck locations.
To participate, vendors need to apply for a food truck business licence, and qualified vendors will need to reserve their spot for the week.
There are seven public food-truck locations to choose from, all located downtown or along the waterfront:
- Shoppers Row at Spirit Square
- The Rail Yard Market (a new location!)
- Rotary Beach Park
- Ken Forde Park
- Rockland Road parking lot
- Maritime Heritage Centre parking lot
- Big Rock Boat Ramp overflow parking lot
The City notes spots are limited and are available on a first-qualified, first-served basis. Applications are being accepted now.
