The Campbell River Hospital Foundation is thanking the local Kinsmen Club for a recent $5-thousand donation.
The funds have been distributed equally between the Just Like Home Adult Lodge and the maternity department of the Campbell River Hospital.
Just Like Home Adult Lodge has received a $2,500 donation to assist in their mission of providing a safe and affordable option for patients and their loved ones to stay when travelling to Campbell River Hospital for services that they cannot get in their home communities.
Additionally, the maternity department at the Campbell River Hospital has been bolstered by a $2,500 donation towards the purchase of a Panda
Warmer Monitor; crucial for the care of newborns, providing a stable and warm environment immediately after birth.
In a release, the Hospital Foundation says the Kinsmen’s support will help the maternity department continue to offer top-notch care and services to new mothers and their babies.
