The Campbell River Fire Department is inviting the community to its annual open house later this month.
The free family-friendly event takes place Saturday, May 30th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fire Station Number 1 on 13th Avenue.
Residents will have a chance to meet local firefighters and dispatchers, learn more about fire safety, wildfire preparedness, and the FireSmart program, and get a closer look at the services provided by the department.
The event will also feature hands-on activities and demonstrations, including opportunities to explore fire equipment and connect with the emergency response team.
A hot dog barbecue will be available by donation.
