The City of Campbell River has increased the parking time limits in downtown Campbell River to help support local businesses.
The change follows a request from the Campbell River Downtown BIA, which was approved by City Council earlier this year.
As of yesterday, all one-hour downtown parking zones have increased to two-hour parking zones.
This includes all of Shoppers Row and Pier Street, as well as a few other downtown blocks.
There is also longer-term parking available at Tyee Plaza, the Maritime Heritage Centre and other large lots downtown.
You can visit City of Campbell River for an up-to-date parking map showing all downtown public parking (both on-street parking and parking lots).
