There is something to look forward to for Campbell River residents over 50 looking to learn.
The Campbell River ElderCollege is holding a public information meeting next Friday, September 15th, about their fall line-up of courses for students aged 50 and older.
They’ll be meeting at the North Island College Campus Bistro in Campbell River (located through the main doors, opposite the library), from 130pm to 3pm.
Instructors for their fall courses will be on hand to let everyone know what’s on tap October through December.
Presentations and classes range from writing and birding to history and expanding financial knowledge. There are also topics on travel, using technology effectively, and more.
The courses are presented by volunteers and the modest tuition fees help to provide two $1,000 annual bursaries presented to Campbell River students in the medical field.
This is the 19th year that CREC is offering courses, and they are always looking for volunteers.
Registration for fall classes begins September 22nd. Find more information and course details at NIC.
