Road work will begin today on Island Highway at 6th Avenue in Campbell River.
Utility and paving work will take place along that portion, near the Maritime Heritage Centre, starting today and running until Thursday, September 14, 2023.
The work is to install the last utility tie-in and complete road-surface repairs within the intersection. It will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, weather permitting.
North and southbound traffic will be accommodated by alternating single-lane traffic flows.
The City is encouraging residents to use alternative routes as delays will occur.
