
As area municipalities continue work on their Official Community Plans, residents are being encouraged to follow the process along.
Events are being held in both Campbell River and Cumberland, starting today.
The City of Campbell River is hosting a community BBQ and Open House from 4pm to 7pm at the Campbell River Sportsplex.
The OCP guides how the City will grow when it comes to housing, transportation, land use, parks, and public spaces over the next 20 years.

Cumberland is hosting a virtual meeting tonight to go over the Village’s plans. Its OCP guides growth and development over the next decade and beyond. It includes policies for housing, land use, and community well-being, as well as guidelines for development.
You’ll want to register ahead of time at engagecomoxvalley.ca/cumberland - and the meeting runs online from 630pm to 8pm. There will be an in-person open house tomorrow in Cumberland, from 3pm to 8pm, at the Masonic Hall on Dunsmuir Avenue.
