Campbell River RCMP are investigating after several businesses were targeted overnight where glass windows or doors have been smashed.
At least four businesses in the Campbell River area have been the target of broken glass windows between approximately 1:30 am and 2:00 am on Friday, August 14. A suspect described as wearing all black with one yellow glove, one grey glove and associated to a red bicycle was captured on video surveillance.
On Saturday, August 15, at around 6:15 am, another local business was targeted with a window smash.
On Sunday, August 17, at around 2:00 am, police responded to a break and enter at a local restaurant which had its patio window smashed and two suspects were alleged to have entered the restaurant as a result.
Police are still gathering evidence and are working to identify if all these incidents are connected.
Police encourage anyone witnessing suspicious activities to contact 911 at the time it is observed. Anyone with information about these incidents are asked to contact the Campbell River RCMP at 250-286-6221.
