Campbell River Council has approved, in principle, three grants for area-specific beautification initiatives, public art, amenities and public space programming.
This year’s program will provide $10,000 in matching funds to the Campbellton Neighbourhood Association, and Willow Point Business Improvement Association, and $15,883.08 to the Downtown Business Improvement Association.
Improvements will include decorative lighting, murals, flower planters, signage, litter abatement, and event programming.
Council will consider the agreements later this month.
