The BC Centre for Disease Control is again reminding people to get vaccinated in what is already an elevated influenza and RSV season.

In children, influenza activity is at the highest levels since the start of this respiratory season, serving as a reminder for families to take proactive steps to reduce their risk of serious illness.

At least three children under the age of 19 have died in the last few weeks in the province due to complications from influenza.

The CDC says this year’s influenza vaccine appears to be well matched to the influenza viruses circulating in B.C.
