The fall election will come down to two parties.
BC United leader Kevin Falcon announced yesterday the party would suspend its campaign and is urging supporters to back the BC Conservatives.
Conservative Leader John Rustad was with Falcon at a joint news conference yesterday.
Falcon said he was concerned with a vote split that he said would have given the NDP the election. He says it’s the right thing to do for British Columbia.
Rustad says he and Falcon first met Tuesday night to discuss the situation, although there had been previously low level discussions between the parties.
Falcon also confirmed he would not be running in the election.
BC United candidates who have been nominated will now come off the list and the Conservatives will draw from them, but details are still sparse.
Election day is October 19th.
