BC Transit says riders in Campbell River and the Comox Valley Regional Transit System will be experiencing service challenges again this week, due to a lack of drivers.
This labour shortage is resulting in the need to sometimes alter schedules and cancel trips on short notice.
Once a trip cancellation has been confirmed, alerts are issued on BC Transit’s website.
Customers are encouraged to use the Transit App to stay up to date where riders can also sign up for route-specific alerts that will be emailed to them directly.
BC Transit and its operating company, PWTransit, say they are working hard to hire more drivers and are looking for people with strong customer service skills, who enjoy interacting with the public and supporting their community.
