BC Hydro has issued a public safety advisory for a 6-kilometre stretch along the Puntledge River in the Barber's Hole/Nymph Falls area.

River flow is currently 3x normal rate as the Puntledge River powerhouse is down for planned maintenance work.

Comox Valley Search and Rescue is advising residents to use caution in the area.

Work is scheduled to continue until September 23 with temporary safety signage in place.

Comox Acquires Land For New Public Park

The Town of Comox has purchased more than 2.6 hectares of land on Balmoral Avenue to create a new public park and green space.
Road Closure For Glen Eagle Drive Water Repair

There will be a full road closure on Glen Eagle Drive, Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. while Campbell River crews complete a water service repair.
