Trail users along the Puntledge River are being asked to be aware of work zones for the next few weeks, starting today.
BC Hydro crews will be conducting vegetation maintenance through Friday, March 14th.
Recreational trail users may experience short delays or minor detours along the East River Trail, West River Trail and Bevan Trail.
The work includes brushing, delimbing, and targeted tree removal to address hazard trees and trail pinch points.
Crews will be working on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. and will complete the work in advance of the bird-nesting window.
Trail users can expect delays of up to 15 minutes or minor detours.
More trail improvements, including the replacement of aging bridges, culverts, and boardwalks, are expected to begin in June.
