The BC Liberals are calling on the NDP immediately implement a 30-day action plan to start tackling the health crisis in primary care.
The Liberals say the Premier's "continued inability to articulate steps" his government is taking to address the health care crisis is of concern.
Leader Kevin Falcon says his party - and BC residents in general - have been pressing the government for months on the issue, to no avail.
In a statement, Falcon says every part of the health care system is in crisis, but the needed fix starts with primary care.
Falcon goes on to say that as nearly one million British Columbians do not have a family doctor and as the crisis worsens, the government continues to blame others instead of takings steps to fix the problem.
The BC Liberals are calling for a 30-day action plan to address the crisis in primary care that includes consulting those in the medical field, boosted funding and pay for family physicians and accelerating the accreditation and certification of foreign-trained doctors, among other things.
