We have some area closures to be aware of this week.

The Comox Marina boat launch is closed for the next couple days.

Crews are working on the new dock extension.

The closure is expected today and tomorrow, depending on the weather and tides.

In addition, Brewster Lake Road across from the John Hart dam is closed for day work for the next week.

Work is needed around the spillway section of the dam as part of the dam’s Seismic Upgrade Project.

Closures are in effect daily from 730am to 5pm until Monday.

Drivers are being asked to use Highway 19 as an alternate route.

The Millennium Trail will see closures as a result - now through Friday, opened for the weekend, and then more closures from Monday through Friday next week.

The Seismic Upgrade Project at the John Hart Dam is expected to be completed by 2029.
