Rumours have been circulating online regarding a potential blue green algae
A message from the Comox Valley Regional District on the condition of the Comox Lake Watershed.
Rumours have been circulating online regarding a potential blue green algae bloom within the Comox Lake watershed.
The district says it can confirm that the rumours are false. In a post on social media, officials say Comox Lake has very low natural
nutrient levels, which means no food for an algae bloom. The CVRD monitors and completes water sampling regularly at various locations within the watershed, and says it remains a safe and clean drinking water source.
