Voters in Courtenay, Campbell River and the Comox Valley’s rural electoral areas can cast their local-government election ballots early today.
Advance polls are open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. at three locations across the region.
Courtenay residents can vote at the Florence Filberg Centre at 411 Anderton Avenue, while Campbell River voters can visit the Community Centre at 401 11th Avenue.
Comox Valley RD voters can cast their ballots at the Regional District Civic Room on Harmston Avenue in Courtenay.
Eligible voters who are not already registered can register when they arrive at the voting place.
Community members should bring two pieces of identification establishing their identity and residency, with at least one containing a signature.
Photo identification is not required.
Voters can find dates, polling locations and eligibility information through the official election pages for Campbell River, Courtenay, Comox and Cumberland.
Rural residents can check voting locations and election details through the Comox Valley RD or Strathcona Regional District.
A second full day of advance voting will be offered next Wednesday, October 14.
Anyone unable to vote early can cast a ballot on general voting day, Saturday, October 17.
