Comox Valley RCMP have charged a 53 year old woman with impaired driving and fleeing the scene after three people were struck by a truck outside Courtenay MusicFest on Saturday night.

The three - one on a bicycle - were struck shortly after 1030pm Saturday night.

One of the victims was airlifted to hospital and the two others were treated at the scene.

Shortly after the incident, police received a report of a truck in a ditch on Headquarters Road - and the driver was found walking away from the scene.

Comox Valley RCMP say the investigation continues and they are asking for witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage, to give them a call.
