Campbell River voters will have several opportunities to hear from local candidates before election day on October 17.

The Campbell River and District Chamber of Commerce, Campbell River Mirror and Tidemark Theatre Society are co-hosting six debate nights at the Tidemark Theatre.

The series begins October 1 with Strathcona Regional District candidates, followed by school trustee candidates on October 4 and mayoral candidates Kermit Dahl and Andy Speck on October 5.

Campbell River’s 15 city council candidates have been divided alphabetically into three groups of five.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. each night, and the debates run from 7 to 9 p.m.

Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
