Saturday June 21st it’s National Indigenous Peoples Day and K’ómoks First Nation are inviting the community to celebrate with them.

Celebrate the unique contributions & cultures of First Nation, Inuit & Métis communities in the Comox Valley & across Canada with a free, day-long event at the Comox Valley Exhibition Grounds. Enjoy cultural & environmental workshops, guided walks to the Tsolum River, K’ómoks culture & archeology displays, live screen printing, Youth & Elder Zones, delicious food including a traditional salmon BBQ, over 30 indigenous craft vendors, live music from world class Indigenous artists & more. It's from 12- 9pm, it’s free to attend & everyone’s welcome.

The word "éy7á7juuthem" means “Language of our People” and is the ancestral tongue of the Homalco, Tla’amin, Klahoose and K’ómoks First Nations, with dialectic differences in each community.
It is pronounced "eye-ya-jooth-hem."
