Saturday, September 13th, the Town of Comox & VI Paddling present the 2025 Comox Dragon Boat Festival in & around Comox Marina Park.

Paddlers from across Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands & the Lower Mainland will go head-to-head in fast-paced 200-metre sprints. Teams will represent a wide range of experience levels & ages & the Island has become a real hot spot for dragon boaters. Earlier this year, Comox Valley’s own Tegan Probert, became the 1st Islander to be selected to represent Team Canada in the 16 & under division at the World Dragon Boat Racing Championships. The event will also feature youth teams, like the Dragon Riders, whose youngest members are 12 years old, as well as senior teams, which include paddlers in their 70s.
