Tuesday, September 30th, the Comox Valley will mark the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation with a Spirit Walk in Courtenay.
More Information (CKCC The Raven 100.7 is not responsible for external websites)
The walk begins at 10am at Harmston Park, where participants will make their way down 5th Street & end at Lewis Park. Organizers say the walk is a chance for the community to come together, honour the spirits of ancestors, reflect on the legacy of residential schools & support ongoing reconciliation. Participants are encouraged to wear orange shirts, ribbon skirts, moccasins, or to carry a feather as symbols of recognition and remembrance. It’s free to attend & everyone’s welcome. To learn more, visit Downtown Courtenay.
