Join the Campbell River Art Gallery on Thursday evening for an intimate storytelling workshop and acoustic set with Montreal-based queer, trans non-binary, Indigenous pop singer/songwriter, Siibii.
About Siibi
Siibii is a rising Montreal-based artist known for their evocative, shape-shifting pop sound and unapologetic storytelling. Originally from Mistissini, QC, Siibii’s name means 'river' in Cree, a fitting symbol for their ever-flowing creative journey. As a self-trained songwriter and performer, Siibii blends electronic grooves with aura-light vocals, drawing comparisons to artists like Billie Eilish, Remi Wolf, and Lady Gaga.
Their breakout single “YOY” became a true independent success, amassing over three million streams and earning Siibii the SOCAN Young Canadian Songwriter Award. This momentum has taken them to major stages, including Festival d’été, TD Arena in Ottawa, and an opening slot for acclaimed Inuk artist Elisapie.
As a queer, trans non-binary, Indigenous artist, Siibii is passionate about raising representation in pop music, creating space for future generations. With their recent signing to Ishkōdé Records and a debut album set for 2025, Siibii is poised to redefine what it means to be an artist in today’s evolving musical landscape.
Food and Drinks will be available by donation.
It’s from 5-7pm & donations are welcome. RSVP online at Campbell River Art Gallery.
