Thursday, September 18th, the Rotary Club of Campbell River is hosting a Community Fall Cleanup Event.
More Information (CKCC The Raven 100.7 is not responsible for external websites)
Community members are invited to help clean up forests, roads, beaches, & trails before the winter rains and winds set in. The event’s from 3-7pm, beginning at Nunn’s Creek Park, where volunteers will head to various locations around Campbell River, depending on the number of participants & cleanup needs. If you know of an area that could use attention, or if you’d like to pick up garbage bags, borrow garbage pinchers, and get an area assigned in advance, please contact Tara Jordan at 250-202-7446 or tara@smallplanetenergy.ca. Thanks to the Comox Valley Regional District, tipping fee waivers will be provided for the collected waste. For those finishing work or school later in the day, cleanup areas can be emailed out so you and your family or friends can still participate at a time that works best for you.
