Thursday, May 1st, join the Campbell River Genealogy Society as they present Education Feature Speaker, Claire Smith Burns, of the KDGS.
Claire will take the group on a journey through Ontario Land Records to help piece together pre-confederation families. It’ll be a Hybrid Event at the Maritime Heritage Centre by the Pier. Doors open at 6:30pm for participants in person, with the meeting starting at 7pm. It’s free to attend & everyone’s welcome! Keeping Our Word
The word "éy7á7juuthem" means “Language of our People” and is the ancestral tongue of the Homalco, Tla’amin, Klahoose and K’ómoks First Nations, with dialectic differences in each community.
It is pronounced "eye-ya-jooth-hem."
