Saturday July 1st the Rotary Club of Comox presents the 36th Annual Ducky 500 Canada Day Race!

The club’s biggest fundraising event of the year will see the race start at 1pm at Lewis Park on Canada Day. New this year is the addition of a fun Rotary Charity Ducky Mini Race. 7 local charities, all recipients of Comox Rotary grants, will race, float or sink their decorated inflatable ducks in a mini river race. Winning charities will receive honorariums from Comox Rotary. Tickets are $10, 3-packs are $25 & 10-packs are $75, from Ducky 500 dot ca. The 1st 4 ducks to cross the 5th Street Bridge finish line will win 1/4 great prizes.
Prize #1 - a three-night stay at the Tofino Wickaninnish Inn & $3,000 spending money – valued at $5,100.
Prize #2 - a spectacular ‘staycation,’ including a one-night stay at Crown Isle in a king Jacuzzi suite, as well as a round of golf & shared power cart for two people, lunch at Blackfin Pub ($100), a hydropath spa and $100 lunch for two at Kingfisher Resort & $200 in local spending money courtesy of Valley Drywall. Compass Adventures has added a two-hour paddleboard or kayak rental for two people, and Mt. Washington has thrown in two alpine lift passes. The total value of this prize package is $1,750.
Prize #3 - $1,000 Canadian Tire gift card.
Prize #4 - $500 Thrifty Foods gift card, as well as a $300 Paderno pots & pan set courtesy of Old House Notary Office.
